Biography

I have been working in the Transportation Sector since 2011. My experiences span across the areas of Traffic Engineering, Road Safety Research, Transport Services, Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Proposal Writing and Stakeholder Engagement.

I have worked on two ReCAP (Research for Community Access Partnership) projects, notably; Identification of hazardous sections of rural feeder roads in Ghana (2016); and Rural Transport Diagnostics in Ghana (2017).

I am an industrious, astute and versatile civil engineer with working experiences in both solid waste management and road contract procedures and construction. Currently, I am a senior engineer with the Ghana Highway Authority.

I am Ghanaian and a Christian. I love to have fun and enjoy cooking, singing, reading and site-seeing.

Biography

My name is Nyamaah Kwarko. I am a 29 year old man who was born on 25th April 1990. I come from Agogo Asante akyem in Ashanti Region-Ghana. My interests include listening to music and watching football.

I did my 1st degree in civil engineering at KNUST. I later did my masters in Road and Transportation Engineering at the same University. I am currently a lecturer at Sunyani Technical University (STU) and a PhD student in highway and Transport Engineering. I have been working at STU for a period of 4years 7months now.

Officially, I am Randolf Wilson but I am affectionately called Randy Wilson in all circles of my life. I am a Development Planner who has worked in the Local Government Service of Ghana since 2001. I had my BSc in Development Planning at KNUST in 1998 and enrolled again for my MSc in Development Policy and Planning from 2003-2006.

Biography

I graduated from the Federal university of Technology, Akure Nigeria with both B.Eng and M.Eng in highway/Transportation Engineering. My interest in Highway Engineering grew when I designed, fabricated an infrared traffic counters in my undergraduate project. The counter is to count volumes, speed and delay of vehicles on the roads in order to assess the level of traffic congestion on Nigerian roads. It’s to solve the problem of hiring expensive automatic counters which also post some disturbance to the road and road users.

I am a Professional Engineer, Civil/Transportation, member of the Ghana Institution of Engineering(GhIE), with over Fifteen(15) years of practicing experience. My experience includes; Adjunct Lecturer in Civil Engineering, Projects Manager(Civil) in Airport engineering, Facility Manager(in Airport facilities and technical services), Consultant in Pavement, Materials & Geotechnical engineering, a panel member(Transportation engineering) for the Civil Engineering Professional Examination (CEPE) of the GhIE, etc.

I hail from Cross River State, Nigeria. I am currently a member of staff at the department of Civil Engineering, Cross River University of Technology, Calabar.

I aspire to be a leading professional within the highway and transport sector, engaging in research that can add value to the sector. Teaching, instructing and moulding youngsters through the disciplines of the academic environment drives me.
