Hon. Engr. Zunu K. Duyann, Assistant Minister for Land and Rail Transport at the Ministry of Transport, Republic of Liberia, stands as a distinguished alumnus of the Regional Transport Research and Education Centre, Kumasi (TRECK). Through a fully funded scholarship awarded by the World Bank Group, Hon. Engr. Duyann earned a Master of Science degree in Road and Transportation Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), graduating in November 2023.
Before joining TRECK, Hon. Engr. Duyann obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Liberia in 2019. He has since built a career in civil engineering and transportation, contributing to various infrastructure projects across Liberia. His commitment to continuous learning is evident in his achievement of over 50 professional certificates in areas such as safer road design, road safety audits, and leadership development.
Hon. Engr. Duyann’s journey at TRECK was not without its challenges, but his perseverance, dedication, and supportive academic environment enabled him to excel. The academic environment at TRECK, combined with the expert guidance of faculty and peer support, shaped Hon. Engr. Duyann into the skilled professional he is today.
In his current role as Assistant Minister, Hon. Engr. Duyann is applying the knowledge, expertise, and leadership skills gained at TRECK to drive transformative initiatives in Liberia’s transport sector. His efforts are contributing to the country's development agenda.
