As part of its commitment to fostering global research collaboration, TRECK partnered with Edinburgh Napier University to host Mr. Iliasu Ewuntomah, a PhD student from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, for a six-month research visit in the United Kingdom.

The partnership exemplifies TRECK's vision of becoming a premier Centre of Excellence for research and training in transportation and logistics, not only across Africa but globally.

Mr. Ewuntomah, specializing in Highway and Transportation Engineering, will undertake his visit from November 1, 2024, to April 30, 2025. The research visit is designed to allow him to carry out a focused piece of research that complements his ongoing studies at KNUST.

During his time at Edinburgh Napier University, Mr. Ewuntomah will work under the guidance of renowned experts, gaining access to state-of-the-art resources and benefiting from the university’s extensive expertise in the field.

This initiative also aligns with the Centre’s broader strategy of enhancing the quality of its academic and research output by facilitating exchange programs and fostering a global network of academic collaboration.

Upon completion of the visit, Mr. Ewuntomah will return to Ghana to integrate his findings into his PhD dissertation, contributing valuable insights to the field of transportation engineering at KNUST.
