Congratulations to Engr. George Stephen Ukam: Recipient of the Volvo Research and Educational Foundations (VREF) Visiting Scholar Fellowship

We are delighted to announce that our student, Engr. George Stephen Ukam, has been awarded the prestigious Volvo Research and Educational Foundations (VREF) Visiting Scholar Fellowship. This highly competitive fellowship will enable George to undertake a four-week collaborative visit and research project at the University of Pretoria focused on Paratransit in Sub-Saharan African Cities.

The VREF Visiting Scholar Fellowship is a testament to George's research capabilities and dedication to advancing knowledge in the field of transportation and urban mobility. This fellowship offers an opportunity for him to collaborate with experts at the University of Pretoria, a renowned institution known for its expertise in urban transportation and sustainable development.

During his visit, George will engage in collaborative research work with other researchers and professionals at the University of Pretoria. Their engagements would be centred around public transportation, especially the paratransit system that is prevalent in many SSA cities.
