TRECK Participates in AAU Social Media Workshop for African Higher Education Institutions

Three members of the Regional Transport Research and Education Centre Kumasi (TRECK) participated in the Association of African Universities (AAU) Social Media Workshops, designed to enhance the social media capabilities of higher education institutions across Africa. The workshops were held in two sessions: the anglophone workshop in Accra, Ghana, from August 21–23, and the francophone workshop in Senegal from November 25–27, 2024.

These workshops served as a platform for participants to explore the transformative role of social media in higher education, develop strategic approaches, and network with peers from across the continent. Through interactive sessions, attendees gained valuable insights into setting clear social media objectives, creating engaging content, measuring performance metrics, and understanding the growing influence of AI in social media management. These skills are expected to support TRECK in enhancing its online presence and aligning its digital communication with its broader strategic goals.

TRECK's participation in these workshops underscores its commitment to adopting innovative communication tools to amplify its outreach and strengthen its impact.
