On November 8, 2024, TRECK joined the College of Engineering (CoE) for the prestigious Excellence Awards & Fundraising Dinner at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra. The event celebrated the outstanding achievements of CoE alumni and launched the CoE Endowment Fund.
The Endowment Fund is a transformative initiative to provide postgraduate scholarships, support engineering innovations, and equip CoE laboratories and workshops with modern facilities. It also seeks to recruit international and adjunct lecturers from industry to enhance academic experiences.
The dinner brought together alumni, industry leaders, faculty, students, and stakeholders, showcasing a shared commitment to advancing engineering education and innovation at KNUST. Distinguished speakers, including the Vice-Chancellor, Professor (Mrs.) Rita Akosua Dickson, and the Provost of the College, Professor Kwabena Biritwum Nyarko, emphasized the critical role of alumni in driving the University’s mission forward.
