Samuel Ato Andam-Akorful is a senior lecturer at the Department of Geomatic Engineering, KNUST. He holds a masters in Navigation Technology from the University of Nottingham, UK and a PhD in Geodesy and Engineering from the Hohai University, China. He has expertise in GIS and Remote Sensing with special focus on geospatial analytics and machine learning. He is a member of the Capacity Building Working Group of the Land Degradation Neutrality under the Group on Earth Observations.

He is also a member of the American Geophysical Union, Ghana Institution of Surveyors and Ghana Institution of Engineering. Ato has a number of publications in well-reputed journals including International Journal of Climatology, Water, Remote Sensing among others. His teaching interest include Spatial Analysis, Programming (R, Python and Matlab) and Applied Multivariate Statistics.
